General

At Fablelistik Editions, we publish limited and fine press editions of classic and contemporary titles–thoughtfully designed with unique features to cater to a variety of preferences and audiences.

We aim to have fun with our pub list and wish for every release to stand out in its own special way. Key details per title will always be specified on our website.

The quantities of Fablelistik Editions will vary, as they are designed to preserve the exclusivity and collectability of each edition:

  • Lettered Edition - 26 copies
  • Numbered Edition - no less than 150 copies, and generally no more than 275 (with one exception in 2025)
  • Collector’s Edition - no less than 750 copies, and no more than 2,500 (with one exception in 2025). While we wouldn’t reprint Collector’s Editions, we would keep a small amount of inventory on hand, if the noted print run does not sell out during the pre-order window.
  • Standard Edition - no less than 1,500 copies. This is an edition that we would consider reprinting, and will likely keep a small amount of inventory on hand.

We sure can! In an effort to balance the format, content, and price points across our collections, we’re excited to announce another Edition for fans, book lovers and collectors. The Standard Edition will be a special edition, featured a few times throughout the year on select titles. The Standard Edition will be the only edition we may consider reprinting in the future, while all other Editions will remain limited. Standard Editions will exist in collections with Collector’s Editions and possibly Numbered Editions, but will never be available with a Lettered or Roman Numeral Edition. To ensure that everyone is aware of what to expect, we will include which Editions we will publish in future Collections as we post teasers for future publication months on the website.

Standard Editions will be available during the pre-order window with the rest of the Collection, as well as printed and available on the website once the pre-order window closes. You can expect our first Standard Edition in our January 2025 Collection, which will also feature a Collector’s and Numbered Edition.

Subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on our social media channels. We announce live stream dates, pre-order timelines, and special events in real time through these platforms.

Pre-orders

We have big plans for our publication schedule! We encourage you to stay up to date with all of our announcements by subscribing to our email list and following us on your favorite social media platforms.

Before the Pre-Order window opens, we will reveal the title and available editions for the upcoming collection. The dates of these reveals will be on our homepage, and will be teased on our socials!

As a general rule, we do not plan to offer more than three editions of any title. Regardless of which editions we’ll be releasing, we will ensure this information is visible on our website, and reiterated on our social channels leading up to the pre-order window.

Fablelistik Editions are exclusively available on our website, and can be purchased throughout the pre-order period. The length of pre-order periods will vary on a title-by-title basis, and will always be specified on our website.

If there are copies remaining after the pre-order window closes, they will only be available for purchase on this website.

We would love to see Fablelistik Editions in as many hands as possible, so we may limit orders on a per person, per household basis. Any limitations will be noted on a title specific basis.

We are committed to exclusivity for each edition we publish, which is why every title will only receive one print run. Unfortunately, once they’re out of print, that’s it!

Our team is happy to help! If you encounter any difficulties while placing an order, please contact us by chat or email during customer service hours. We will make every effort to respond to you as quickly as possible. For more information, head over to our Contact page.

Payments

We accept payment by most major debit and credit cards as well as PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay at checkout.

We do—you’ll have the option of submitting your payment in full via credit or debit card at your time of purchase, or implementing Shop Pay’s installment plan at checkout.

Shipping

We’re proud that every book in our list is carefully designed, edited, produced, printed and bound with unique components and customizations. Keep an eye on our Publishing Updates page to stay up-to-date with all status changes and to see behind-the-scenes content as your book comes to life!

Please email us at support@fablelistikeditions.com from the email address you used to place your order as soon as possible. Emails received within 10 business days of shipping are at risk of being sent to the original address provided. We may request additional verification from you before we process your address change.

We will notify you of your shipment with an email and text, both including your tracking number as soon as your package ships.

Please note: delivery of all orders over $500 will require a signature upon delivery. If we are unable to deliver because we are unable to obtain your signature after a reasonable number of attempts, or because you have provided us with an incorrect address, we may cancel your order and refund your payment less shipping costs.

All Fablelistik packages are insured! You’ve waited a long time to receive your book, and we want to do everything we can to provide you with a worry-free shipping and delivery experience.

We are planning to open international pre-orders in the beginning of 2025! While we work to secure rights outside the U.S. whenever possible, we cannot guarantee where all Fablelistik titles will be available for purchase. We will be clear in our announcements and on our product pages regarding each Collection.

Returns

For Numbered and Lettered Editions, orders can be cancelled within 14 days of placing your pre-order for a full refund, minus processing fees. As the Lettered Editions and Numbered Editions are made to order, we cannot accept any cancellation after the Cancellation Period.

For Collector’s Editions, you may cancel any time until production of the editions begins. To stay on top of your order status, head over to our Publishing Updates page. We will continue to send status updates and behind-the-scenes content throughout the book making process directly to all who have pre-ordered as well!

If you wish to cancel your pre-order, please send an email to support@fablelistikeditions.com within the designated time frame for your book, and your pre-authorization will be released.

Due to the artisanal nature of our books, there will be slight differentiators and imperfections in each that do not qualify as a damaged book. No two books will ever be identical or look exactly like what you see on our website.

It is our priority to provide you with a product you are happy with and excited about, so if you believe your book has arrived damaged, please share photos of the damages with us via the form on our Contact page within 14 days of receiving it.

Shipping fees for damaged book returns will be covered by Fablelistik, and a full refund will be applied to your original payment method once we receive your returned package.

Lettered and Numbered Editions are final sale and not subject to return or refund, except for reasons of damage or defect.

Collector’s Editions may be returned for any reason within 14 days of receipt.

If you wish to return your Collector’s Edition, please send an email to support@fablelistikeditions.com within the designated time frame.

Rights

We do, but we cannot guarantee that every Fablelistik title will be available in every territory. We will always be clear in our announcements, communications, and product pages which — if any — rights are available on a given title.

Fablelistik Classic Matching Right: Public domain titles are noted as ‘Fablelistik Classics’ and will carry ‘Fablelistik Classic Matching Right’. The Right of the originally purchased Edition will follow for all subsequent ‘Fablelistik Classic’ titles that have corresponding Editions.

Series Matching Right: Surprise! Some of you have guessed, but this is our official announcement that we have a number of series on our publishing list. Any title in a Series will carry a ‘Series Matching Right,’ granting you the option to purchase the corresponding Edition to the subsequent title(s) in that Series. All Fablelistik Series Rights are confined to that Series alone, and not connected to any other Series that is released.

Publisher Matching Right: If you hold the right to a Lettered Edition, or qualifying Numbered Edition (numbers 1-150) of our first title: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, then you will be guaranteed the ‘Publisher Matching Right’ for all future Fablelistik releases, as long as you complete the purchase of your matching Letter or Number of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue before December 1, 2024.

Note: If you pass on purchasing your matching Lettered or Numbered Edition of Addie LaRue, you will lose your ‘Publisher Matching Right’, but maintain a ‘Fablelistik Classic Right’ for future Fablelistik Classic Collections (the next of which, is planned for March 2025).

When you place a qualifying order for a ‘Fablelistik Classics’ or ‘Series Matching Rights’, you will be sent a distinct code to the email address you used to place your order.

You will be given the exclusive right to purchase your matching letter or number of the next ‘Fablelistik Classic’ title, or next installment in your series for 48 hours prior to the official title launch (“Exclusive Period”), using that exclusive code and the same email address at checkout.

Fablelistik Classic or Series Matching Rights: If you choose not to purchase the next ‘Fablelistik Classics’ title or next title in your series corresponding to your rights within the Exclusive Period, your Lettered and/or Numbered rights will then revert back to Fablelistik Editions.

Publisher Matching Rights: If you pass on purchasing your matching Lettered or Numbered Edition of Addie LaRue, you will lose your ‘Publisher Matching Right’, but maintain a ‘Fablelistik Classic Right’ for future Fablelistik Classic Collections (the next of which, is planned for March 2025). You will then follow the same guidelines as 'Fablelistik Classic Matching Rights' holders.

If for whatever reason, you do not complete your purchase for the matching Lettered Edition or the matching Numbered Edition within the Exclusive Period, you will lose your Matching Purchase Right for all future titles, and your book will be released to the general public for pre-order.

The Matching Purchase Right applies only to you and your purchase of the Lettered Edition or Numbered Edition 1-150. This Right is non-transferable and valid only at www.fablelistikeditions.com for the next title released by Fablelistik.

Please send us an email at info@fablelsitikeditions.com from the email address we have on file, and be prepared to verify your identity. We will not accept any codes shared from a different email address.
